Please take some time to review the ministries we sponsor at CWC and be  praying for these ministries. Also, be praying about how God is calling you to serve at CWC. In the description of the ministries below you will see some of the specific volunteer needs for the upcoming church year which starts in May 2026.

First Impressions Teams

Greeter:  Church greeters are an important part of the hospitality ministry of our church.  They are the first impression people get when they enter our church doors.  As a greeter you will provide a smile, handshake, eye contact and friendly words of welcome as you hand them a church bulletin or open the back door to the church for them.  You will also provide information such as where things are located in the church, such as restrooms and childcare facilities.  Greeting is an opportunity to express God’s love through Christ and help set the tone of the upcoming worship service. Our greeters volunteer on a rotating schedule.

Coffee HostThis person will arrive around 10:30am and prepare coffee and refill supplies in the lobby coffee station to help welcome people to CWC. This position is a rotation with shifts typically once a month.

Streaming Camera Operator: During the morning worship service someone is needed to run the streaming online. This includes starting the stream requiring you to be in the sanctuary by 10:50am. You will also help run our remote controlled cameras to enhance the viewing experience at home.  No experience is necessary and all training will be provided. Selecting interest in this position will set you up with a shadow week to check out what the job is like. No commitment necessary.

Presentation Computer Operator: During the morning worship service and worship practice each week someone is needed to run the presentation computer. This job puts words to songs and sermon notes on the screen and is as easy as using a mouse and pressing a space bar at the right time.  No experience is necessary and all training will be provided. Selecting interest in this position will set you up with a shadow week to check out what the job is like. No commitment necessary.

Help with Stage designs: If you ever helped with sets in a high school musical this one is for you. If you have creative ideas to help envision bringing a sermon series to life this is your calling. If you lack vision but can build what others can imagine we would love to have you join this crew too.

CW Kidz & Youth Ignite Ministries

Children 5 & Under:  This ministry provides an opportunity for parents and care givers to remain focused on the worship experience while their children are being cared for.  We currently staff Infants, toddlers & preschoolers/kindergarteners.  Our little kids rooms provide age appropriate toys and a safe, friendly environment for our littlest church attendees.  Adults and teens (12 and older) can also serve as helpers on a rotation.  During church time the Pre-K/K class teacher provides an interactive bible lesson for the kids each week with lesson materials provided in advance.

Grades 1st-5th:

CWKidz Connect: The goal of the CWKidz Connect hour is to provide structured childcare for those parents and guardians who attend adult Sunday School with fun and meaningful activities for the kids each week. We are in need of teachers for the next school year as well as substitute teachers and assistants who fill in as needed. Teachers facilitate an activity or games during the first hour on a Sunday morning. A snack time bridges the time between the activity and the JAM hour. Examples include Creative Play, Kidz Serve, Bible Wrap Up, and Movie Time.

CWKidz JAM: A CWKidz JAM Teacher facilitates spiritual growth through Bible engagement, an activity, and songs during the second hour on a Sunday morning. Pick up the children from the snack room. Stories and videos are provided helping the teacher to focus on engagement and growth rather than preparation. A Helper assists by working more directly with children who need extra attention, or by running games, or other duties that may arise.

Includes WKFM once a month. Wesleyan Kids for Missions takes place the first Sunday of the month for children in grades 1-5.  WKFM teaches kids about our missionaries and their mission work around the world.  Volunteers assist with hearing memory verses, helping with plays, and other student needs.

Check-In / Security: Security personnel will assist with guest check-ins or help with any issues during the morning. They will also provide assistance to the CWKidz Crew by assuring parents that their children are kept safe during the JAM hour. Primarily, security walks the hallway of the children’s area to prevent children from exiting classrooms in an unauthorized manner. Secondly, security is asked to direct unauthorized people to exit the children’s area during the JAM hour.

CWKidz Club: A volunteer for CWKidz Club helps facilitate growth in Jesus in our children on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:45pm during the school year. CWKidz Club is a time of songs, stories, snacks, and games where children from our church and other guests learn about God. Volunteers should demonstrate growth in God’s Spirit through their relationship with Jesus, enjoy spending time with children, and a willingness to have fun through songs, stories, snacks, and games.

Vacation Bible School:  This year’s VBS will be August 3rd-6th from 9:30am-noon for kids entering Kindergarten through entering 6th grade.  There are many ways to serve in VBS including teachers, assistants, snack helpers, craft helpers, registration volunteers, nursery helpers and more.

CWCTeenz: We have Sunday morning small group for our youth (grades 6-12) each week from 9:45-10:45am during the adult Sunday School hour.  You can serve as a teacher or substitute teacher who fills in as needed.  Lessons will be provided.

Youth Sponsor:  CWC youth meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:45pm and is for teens in 6th-12th grade.  In addition to the weekly meet-ups, the youth group has special group outings and events they attend.  Youth sponsors help assist and lead these activities.  The Youth Director coordinates the program and works with the sponsors to choose curriculum and activities for our teens.

 * Please note all volunteers with minors will be asked to complete a volunteer registration form, online safety training and a background check.
