Caregiving 101 Seminar

This month CWC will be hosting an informational class brought to you by the Onondaga County Office for Aging. 

Prepare to Care: Caregiving 101
Tuesday, June 24th, 5:30-7:00pm

Description: Whether you are just beginning to anticipate a need to care for a loved one or have been involved as a caregiver for some time, it is important to understand the unique challenges caregivers face and to develop a plan for current and future needs. This class will look at the challenges caregivers face and discuss information, resources and strategies that caregivers can utilize to help support them along the journey including:
• Strategies to combat caregiver stress, burnout and anxiety
• Keys for developing a caregiver toolkit
• Importance of self-care
• Local and state resources and supplies for caregivers including: respite care, tech tools, training videos, support groups and caregiver planning
